Cross Breeding
|
Sahiwal cattle are well suited for and have been used extensively in cross breeding programs (with great) success in both the dairy and beef industry. High grade Sahiwals, when used over the large British/European breeds, will go a long way towards eliminating problems with calving. The same high grade Sahiwals, used over non Indicus cattle, will produce a carcass of lean meat, with desirable fat cover. The high butterfat content in Sahiwal’s milk is a desirable feature to the dairy industry. The BOS INDICUS features of the Sahiwal benefit all breeds, from tick resistance to heat tolerance.
